Searching for Groundwater
The new LandMapper ERM-04 model can outline the flow of groundwater.
In most cases, builders drill the ground in different places in order to determine the location for the future well. It’s a time and resource consuming job.
With the help of the LandMapper ERM-04, it is possible to determine exactly where to drill. The device shows the location of groundwater.

Picturing a Geological Cross-section
The cross-section is a graphic representation of the disposition of the materials in the subsurface.
It represents the basis for planning engineering works; fundamentally the lineal works that affect the surface and the subsurface (roads, tunnels, utilities).
A picture of a geological cross-section developed from LandMapper ERM-04 analysis of soil content helps prevent sinkholes.

Locating Underground Pipelines
Construction is impossible without excavation and/or drilling holes. However, such excavation in certain places can damage buried utilities
LandMapper ERM-04 can identify the location of underground pipes and reduce the potential of damage.
The device can also map the area.
Water Supply Pipes
Leaks in water pipes lead to a drop in pressure in the system, resulting in interruptions in the supply of drinking water.

Detection of Leaks in Underground Piping
Accidents occur in pressured water pipes channeling hot water, and in heating pipe networks. The high temperature increases the pressure in the pipeline, which leads to ruptures and leaks.
LandMapper ERM-04 detects leaks without drilling or digging.
The device reads the resistance difference, due to leaks.
Oil Leaks in Pipes
Leaks in oil pipelines may lead to large-scale environmental pollution.
Ruptures of pipelines with the subsequent ignition of raw materials can lead to an emergency shutdown.
Consequently, the supply of necessary fuel to consumers may be halted indefinitely.

Identifying Fault Zones, Fractures and Karsts
Subsurface cavity formation is a major risk in areas lying within carbonate rocks. Sinkholes can cause a collapse of building foundations and road subsidence may occur.
The presence of subsurface cavities can create public safety hazards in civil engineering works.
LandMapper ERM-04 delineates the presence of underground cavities using a tomographic method of electrical resistivity measurement and helps prevent future geological stability problems.
